Is there a/an + существительное + near here? — так спрашивают, есть ли что-то рядом. Перед исчисляемым существительным в единственном числе не забывай артикль a/an: "Is there a bookshop near here?"
Если существительное во множественном числе, используем Are there any ...?: "Are there any places like this in your country?"
Отвечаем коротко: Yes, there's one ... или No, sorry, but maybe try ... — и предлагаем другой вариант. Часто мы сразу объясняем, зачем нам это нужно, чтобы собеседник мог посоветовать что-то ещё: "I want to buy some gifts. Is there a market near here?"
Предлоги места (prepositions of place) помогают точно сказать, где что-то находится: at, behind, between, in, in front of, next to, on, opposite.
Например: "It's at the end of the road." · "There's one behind here." · "The stop is in front of a school." · "There's a small food shop on the corner, and the chemist is next to that." · "The theatre is opposite the stadium."
Эти структуры полезны, когда ты ищешь a place to live и рассказываешь, что для тебя important: "It's very near the local shops." или "Everyone has their own bedroom, but we share the kitchen in our shared house."
