Когда мы говорим о работе, часто нужны сразу два времени. Present simple — это привычки, распорядок дня и факты, которые в целом верны: "I deal with customer enquiries during a normal day." Present continuous — это то, что происходит прямо сейчас или в этот период (даже если не в эту секунду): "At the moment, she's doing the research for a new project."

В present simple у he / she / it глагол получает окончание -s (works, earns, deals, does, discusses). Отрицание и вопрос строятся с do / does:

В present continuous используется am / is / are + глагол-ing: "I'm doing essential work this week." Отрицание — просто + not:

Сигнальные слова для present simple: usually, often, sometimes, every day, during a normal day. Для present continuous: at the moment, right now, this week, this month, these days. В вопросе do / does или be выходят на первое место: "Do you earn good money in your job?" — "Is she dealing with customers right now?"
